Molveno (864 m a.s.l.) is a famous resort in West Trentino, located at the bottom of the Brenta Dolomites and the massive of Brenta and at the shore of the lake of the same name.
The area it embraces is to a vast extent part of the Nature Park of Adamello-Brenta, created in 1967 to safeguard this unique environment.
The most attractive features of the place are undoubtedly the peaks of the Dolomites of Brenta, home to many skiers, and the lake, the second-largest in Trentino.Worth noting are also the infrastructures for congresses offered by Molveno: two meeting halls open all year round seating one 800, the other 80 people.The newly built sports centre offers a volleyball and basketball pitch, a gym and a climbing wall.In order to enjoy the best of the local regional cuisine and the excellent local wine, one should try the numerous restaurants and huts.From June to September there are regular shuttle buses, which take guests to the nearby resorts of Andalo and Fai della Paganella, whereas another shuttle service operates between the centre of Molveno and the beach.
Worth to have a look at are the St. Vigilio and the San Carlo Borromeo Church, the little napoleonic forts and the old sawmill.
