For us, closing the hotel is absolutely essential. During the low season or when the hotel is closed, we take a little time for ourselves, we revel in the slower pace of life which can often be frantic during the high season and we lose ourselves in the natural beauty that surrounds us.
We need this time to look for new inspiration, to recharge our batteries and to undertake our work in the best possible way. We use this time to bring to fruition the projects that we have planned for the upcoming spring opening, working tirelessly with our staff and with people within the industry and taking our inspiration from the peace and quiet and stunning scenery that surrounds us. Although we live here all year round, we never get used to the beauty of the different seasons, to the changing colours of the landscape or to the fabulous sunsets that can really be appreciated from our vantage point.

No two are ever the same, crazy and often surreal. Their colours fade from red to orange, from pink to purple, filling onlookers’ eyes and hearts with a unique beauty. We firmly believe that an important part of life is having the ability to be amazed. Wondering at the beauty of nature is a privilege but above all an obligation.
